Barney Storey MBE

Barney needs little introduction as a former GB sprint rider and tandem pilot. A National Keirin, Team Sprint and Team Pursuit Champion, Barney made his name as a tandem pilot with a consistency no one else has been able to match. Six time World Champion and 3 time Paralympic Champion, Barney still holds the sea-level world record in the Tandem Kilometre with an impressive 1.01.351. Barney started working in women’s professional cycling as a mechanic back in 2010 when he supported his wife Sarah in her previous teams, but together the couple set up the Podium Ambition pathway in 2013 and Barney has been running the team ever since. A natural manager and easy person to work with, Barney is an incredible motivator and has an innate ability to create a nurturing environment in which riders are able to concentrate on giving their best.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3607″][vc_column_text]

Marty Macdonald McCrossan

Marty managed Swedish registered men’s UCI Continental Team Magnus MaXimus Coffee in 2009 and Team Sprocket in 2010 and first started working in women’s cycling in 2014. He was quickly drawn to the ambition and work ethic of the Podium Ambition set up. Running his own business producing cartoons and also working as a TV commentator and highly sought after event presenter, Marty not only works as a Director Sportif but also brings his innovation and entrepreneurial flair to helping the team create new revenue streams to ensure future financial stability. His incredible energy and enthusiasm ensure the team is always upbeat and his race experience and attention to detail create a positive environment in which the team can operate on race day.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3607″][vc_column_text]
