The Easter weekend was packed with racing and race prep for almost everyone on the team. 8 riders tackled the Buxton Mountain Time Trial which saw Chanel Mason claim victory in the Athlete category for riders who take on the event without the traditional TT equipment, her time would also have seen her finish 4th in the TT bike category. In that TT category, EJay Harris stepped on to the podium, whilst Jen George was a credible 6th in this her first season of having a Time Trial bike.

Mercy Webb was 2nd in the Junior category and bad luck for Beth Crumpton in the final stages of her ride, saw her having to run through the finish line when she jammed her chain on the final hill.

On Easter Saturday the team were over in Yorkshire to recce the Tadcaster to Harrogate stage of the Tour de Yorkshire. 122km with almost 2000m of climbing and the team took on the route with the usual enthusiasm and team spirit they have become known for in their first month of being part of the UK peloton.

Speaking after the ride, Sports Director Barney Storey, who had followed in the team car said, “This weekend has been a great double header for us and with just two weeks until the actual race it was the perfect time to get the riders out over the whole course.”

“I expect the race will be very quick from the start, with the mainly flat terrain right through to the Lofthouse climb. Once that is complete the course is still very fast but there are a few stings towards the finish before the final section which is going to see a very quick run in. As ever it will be an exciting event.”
