Danni started cycling in 2011 as part of her off season conditioning work for Shorttrack Speed Skating, a sport she had done for 8 years by that point and had enjoyed racing for GB internationally. In 2012 she made the decision to switch sports and was taken on by British Cycling as a Track sprinter. After three and a half years of focusing on the sprint events, Danni switched to endurance at the end of 2015 and despite the challenging transition has already represented GB at European and World Cup events. Her pedigree as a cyclist developed quickly and she secured two Junior World titles in 2013 in the sprint and 500m events. This background means her strengths in the endurance side of the sport lie in her speed and she is not the rider anyone else will want to take to the finish line. Currently a full-time cyclist on the Olympic Podium Programme Danni studied for a BTEC Sport at sixth form in Coaching, Development and Fitness.
