Katie is a 5 time Para-cycling World Champion for the C1 class having burst on to the international scene in 2018 at the Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio winning gold in the individual pursuit. Following this, in August 2018, Katie took a clean sweep of the medals in her class at the Para-cycling Road World Championships in Italy with gold in both the Individual Road Time Trial and Road Race. At the 2019 Para-cycling Track World Championships, Katie successfully defended her individual pursuit title and also added gold in the Scratch race.
A masters in Education student at the Sheffield Hallam University, Katie specialises in early years education and has worked in a number of local primary schools during the course of her studies. Currently focusing her time on trying to qualify for the Tokyo Paralympic Games next year, Katie has joined Storey Racing from Mossley CRT and is also supported via the Derbyshire Institute of Sport.
